Information on Your Recent GE Pension Packet

Most employees should have received a pension packet from GE.  GE has confirmed with Momentive that if you do not wish to make any changes or take any withdrawals from your vested pension then no action is required.  There is a reference in this packet to a 60-day time frame.  After 60 days you still have the same options with your GE Pension but you must call the Pension Inquiry Center at 1-800-432-3450 to obtain updated Pension Account information.

GE is also recommending that this is a good time to update your beneficiary form if you haven't done so and you'd like to make changes.

As always before making decisions on your pension you are encouraged to consult with your tax or financial advisor as well as the GE Pension Inquiry Center.

 

How Do I Update My Contact Information?

You may continue to make changes to your contact information via My Information(http://myinfo.ge.com). You cannot make these type of changes directly with ADP.

You may also access My Information by clicking on the Employee Resources link, found on the left navigation bar of your homepage.

Once updated, your information will be sent to ADP - our payroll service provider - via weekly reports.  You may only make changes to your contact information through My Information or by contacting your Human Resources Manager.

With Direct Deposit, your Momentive paycheck is deposited directly into the bank account of your choice each payday. This means that no matter where you are –

at work, on vacation, out sick, or on leave – your pay will make it to you safely and securely. And Direct Deposit offers added convenience – there are no paychecks to take to the bank, saving you time each pay period.

Direct Deposit Advantages

            Your pay goes into your account more quickly with Direct Deposit. Some banks will put a “hold” on part or all of the paper check in order for the funds to clear, but with Direct Deposit your pay is automatically deposited into your account on your payday and the funds are immediately available.

            Your money is safe when using Direct Deposit.

The electronic transfer of funds is more secure than a paper check. With Direct Deposit, you do not run the risk of losing your paycheck and you don’t have to worry about delays in delivery. So if you are not at work on payday to pick up your check, your pay is still deposited safely and securely into your account and available for use on your payday.

 

So, take a few minutes NOW to consider Direct Deposit and what it can do for YOU!

How do you sign up?

You can elect the direct deposit option by accessing the Employee Self Service system at https://portal.adp.com/ > under the dollar sign tab (“$”).
