Sisters and Brothers of Local 359 ,

Coming up Sunday , April 30th , members of our Local will be competing in the 7th Annual Kearny Cup Dodge ball tournament to support the Boys and Girls Club of Albany as one of the charity events Local 359 participates in each year since its beginning along with so many other Labor Unions that supported us during the Strike.. We actually won the entire tournament in 2014 defeating the Ironworkers of the Capital district in a fierce battle. Jeff Kissinger (Chem. Ops) also won MVP of the tournament…….. Once again, we are asking members and their families to stop by and support the men and women of Local 359 participating on our team. For the seventh consecutive year, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Albany will be hosting the annual Kearney Dodgeball Tournament. Named after board member, former club kid and lifelong supporter, John Kearney, tournament proceeds have been integral in providing educationally enriching experiences to Albany's most disadvantaged youth.

Taking place on April 30th at Siena College, the tournament features a wide variety of dodgeball teams. Ranging from financial institutions to local non-profits, to Albany's many unions, the saying that "it takes a village" rings very true. While the tournament itself is a heated battle to see who comes out on top, the intensity is only over-shadowed by our supporters passion and dedication to our cause.

Special thanks to our Union family that helped raise over $40k for the boys and girls club! Our team was taken out in the quarter final round and did extremely well. Special thanks to Capt. Phil Jarvis and our wounded warrior Mike Weis who took one for the team!!!!
