The members of IUE-CWA Local 81359 are on strike at Momentive along with the smaller local 81380 union. .  They are fighting against a super rich company that is trying to destroy the worker's standard of living, pensions, health care and benefits and on the job safety and work rules!  Momentive is putting their drive for profits over the lives of our union brothers and sisters and the lives of the surrounding communities. These union workers are trained in how to keep the plant safe and accident free. The scabs that have been brought in by the anti-union Strom Engineering Corporation are not trained in anything relating to the Momentive operation in Waterford. Since these scabs are not trained, an accident at the plant would  harm workers and destroy lives. These union brothers and sisters are fighting for each and everyone one of us.We must continue the tremendous community support for them and us.

This Saturday, December 31 st at 12 pm NOON  please join other union members, community members, families, and clergy for a noon time picket to show Momentive and their scabs that the working people of our region stand solidly behind the fighting men and women of IUE-CWA Local 81359 & 81380. We will picket at the main gate where all the Saratoga County Sheriff’s vehicles are parked (PARKING LOT 5)
